Ils sont réalisés avec une base en laiton sur laquelle est appliquée une couche de palladium, un métal très résistant qui fixe la dorure et permet une belle dorure de grande qualité. 1 micron minimum pour l'Or, au moins 15 microns pour l'Argent. Toutes les couleurs patinées sont vernies.
